I've created this site to show some odd bits of France which mean a lot to me. There is no logic to the choice of subjects I photograph; to me they illustrate the very special quality of the country. France improves the wellbeing. In my case. it has done so since I was a boy.

All my pictures are shot on film. I then develop and print them by hand in my studio darkroom, The images are printed on traditional archival fibre based papers, usually in large 20''x16'' format, ready for framing.
